As part of a class assignment, I started a blog. That blog was to be related to technology. It gave me the idea of starting a blog on which teachers could communicate, just like the teachers' lounge. My time spent in the teachers' lounge is what helps get me through the day. So, teachers, here is a spot to talk about your job, your day, your worries about the future of education, or even great teaching ideas. Communicate, share, laugh, and support each other.
By the way, happy Friday.
Warning! Blogging can be addictive. You asked how I decided what information to share on my blog. I think that is a personal decision. When I started my doctoral degree they required that we have a headshot and write sort of a one paragraph bio that could be shared publicly. That was a smart thing to do. I've used it over and over and modified it slightly as time goes on. Many Web 2.0 tools ask for a profile- especially those that you might use for your personal learning network. Having something you can grab is helpful.
ReplyDeleteBlogging is addictive. So I've started this blog just for fun and for communication with my colleagues. Since I want this blog to be a site for open conversation, I am still not sure how much info to add about myself. Time will tell.
ReplyDeleteExcellent idea! This is a fun way to share any information related to anything in education. I like the concept! Diane
